CHAINS OF GOLD

TRANSLATION

Two birds lived different lives. The cage bird was kept in a golden cage, and the forest bird roamed freely in the wild. One day, they met by chance. The Forest Bird says, dear Cage Bird, let’s go together to the forest! The Cage Bird answers, Forest Bird, come, let’s live in the privacy of the cage." The forest bird says no! I will not be caught in chains. The cage bird says, Alas! How will I venture out into the forest? The Forest Bird sings sitting outside the cage; all those songs of the wild, the Cage Bird recites the words taught to it; each bird’s expression is different. The Forest Bird says, Cage Bird, dear, sing some songs of the wild. The Cage Bird says Forest Bird; learn some songs of the Cage. The forest bird says no! I want the songs taught. The cage bird says, Alas! How do I sing songs of the wild?​ The Forest Bird says the sky is deep blue, and it has no bounds. The cage bird says the cage is organized and covered from all sides. The Forest Bird says that in the midst of the clouds, you can leave all that is yours. The Cage Bird says that in this quiet, comfortable corner, keep yourself anchored. The forest bird says no! Where is the space there to fly? The cage bird says, Alas! Where in the clouds is there a roost to rest? So the two birds love each other. but don’t get each other close. The two birds sit facing each other through the gaps in the cage. Each doesn’t understand the other, nor can it make itself understood. Both, in their lonely desperation, beat their wings and beg each other to come close. The forest bird says no! Who knows when the cage may shut down? The cage bird says, Alas! I no longer have the strength to fly
